Lagos Life is an online life-simulation game run by Eliy (eliysites.com). By creating an account or playing, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the game.
1. Who can play
You must be 18 or older. By signing up you confirm you are. We may close accounts we believe belong to someone younger.
2. Your account
- Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
- One person, one account. Don't create extra accounts to vote more than once or to get around a ban.
- Pick a username that isn't offensive and doesn't pretend to be someone else.
3. Game money and purchases
- In-game naira, items, houses and jobs are part of the game. They have no real-world value and can't be cashed out, sold or transferred outside the game.
- When you top up your wallet with real money, you're buying in-game naira. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Bachs.
- Purchases are final once delivered. If a payment went through but nothing arrived, or you were charged twice, contact us and we'll fix it or refund you.
4. Billboards and Sea Plots
You can pay to show a picture and a link on the city map. Your ad must not:
- Be illegal, a scam, misleading, or advertise gambling, weapons, drugs or adult content.
- Contain hate, harassment, or anyone's private information.
- Use someone else's brand, logo or picture without permission.
We can remove ads that break these rules without a refund. If we remove an ad by mistake, or something on our side stops it showing, we'll refund the unused time. Links open sites we don't run; we aren't responsible for them.
5. Being a good Lagosian
- Be respectful in chats, slogans and announcements. No harassment, threats, hate or sexual content.
- Don't scam other players, ask for their passwords, or share their private details.
- Don't cheat, exploit bugs, or interfere with the game or its servers. If you find a bug, tell us.
- The Governor role is a game feature. Use it for fun; we can remove announcements or a Governor who breaks these rules.
6. What you post
You keep ownership of what you write and upload. You give us permission to show it in the game so the game works (for example, your ad on the map or your slogan on the ballot).
7. Suspending accounts
We can warn, suspend or close accounts that break these terms. You can stop playing any time, and you can ask us to delete your account.
8. The game as it is
Lagos Life is a game in active development. Features change, and things sometimes break. We provide it as it is, without guarantees, and to the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses from using it. Nothing here limits rights you have under Nigerian consumer law.
9. Changes and the law
We may update these terms. If the change matters, we'll ask you to accept the new version in the game. These terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria, and the courts of Lagos State.
